Vendor Assessments for GeM (Government E- Marketplace)

Directorate General of Supplies & Disposal (DGS&D) is a Central Purchase Organization of Government of India under Ministry of Commerce & Industry, established in 1951 for rendering procurement & disposal services to Central/State Government/PSUs /Autonomous Bodies, etc.

 

DGS&D has recently created Government e-Marketplace (GeM), an end to end online procurement portal for procurement of goods and services required by various Central & State Government Departments / Organization's / PSUs. From 1st August, 2017, sellers on GeM would be required to get an assessment of their company profile and the products that are registered for offer on GeM. For the purposes of assessment, Crisil Limited has been engaged.

 

To participate in the Bidding /Reverse Auction, vendor assessment will be for such Sellers.

 

As per the process, following would be the steps to complete vendor  assessment activity for GeM:

  • Vendors are requested to visit Supplier section at http://www.gem.gov.in/ and login with their user id and password and fill the details. Once details are filled, GeM will send back an email to them and allocate their case to one of the 3 Rating Agencies for carrying out the assessment. Vendors are required to pay vendor assessment fees to Crisil Limited for case allocated to Crisil. Fees is to be paid through RTGS/online method as per bank account details of Crisil Limited.
  • Once fees is paid, vendors/sellers are required to fill the Vendor Assessment Form as applicable to their firm as per categories/formats mentioned below.
    • Form A: For Vendor Assessment of Indian Manufacturer / OEM applying as GeM Seller
    • Form B: For Vendor Assessment of Agent of Indian OEMs / Distributor of Indian OEMs / Channel Partner of Indian OEMs / Reseller of Indian OEMs/India eMarket places
    • Form C: For Vendor Assessment of Agent of Foreign OEMs / Distributor of Foreign OEMs / Channel Partner of Foreign OEMs / Reseller of Foreign OEMs
    • Form D: For Vendor Assessment of Service Providers on GeM
  • Crisil representative/s will reach out to you for undertaking this assessment. The representative would also collect any pending information / document.
