India's airport sector is on the recovery flight, and set to clock double-digit growth in fiscal 2024, in line with the pre-pandemic years, with business and leisure travel returning to normal.
The government's focus on stepping up privatisation and investments is expected to sustain capital expenditure (capex) intensity and long-term growth of the sector.
On the other hand, debt servicing obligations of private airport operators will increase from here given that capacity expansion is nearing completion.
In the context, Crisil Ratings is organising a webinar titled 'Flight to faster growth' on May 2, 2023, where our experts will make a presentation on:
Traffic trends
Investments in airport infrastructure and allied sectors
Regulatory scenario - reimbursements of capex and pandemic-related lower collections
The financial profile of airports amid capex completion
Credit outlook on private airports
This will be followed by a panel discussion with industry experts, and a Q&A session.
