End-to-end client servicing support for the family office arm of a top private AM, achieved 20% coverage growth
Background
- A US-based private asset manager wanted us to provide investor reporting support for their family office arm
- The requirements included creating and updating a variety of reports and supporting materials, such as marketing presentations, periodic updates, use cases and fund manager summaries
Our solution
- Project management: Planned timelines, milestones and resource allocation, and highlighted potential dependencies
- Ownership of reports:
- Converted 10 quarterly reports from platform-based standard reporting to PowerPoint-based bespoke reporting. Created reports from scratch and added information on fund and portfolio performance, returns, risk statistics, asset allocation details and exposure data
- Updated periodic and bespoke presentations for existing and prospective clients
- Created and updated fund manager summaries based on client requirements
- Provided support on ad hoc requests, including returns data, compliance checks and investor portal updates
- Quality review: Conducted a thorough review of underlying data and reconciled with a third-party platform to flag and resolve mismatches and discrepancies in a timely fashion
- Presentation: Created comprehensive reports linked to underlying portfolio performance, ensuring accuracy and formatting; built/updated standard operating procedure documents and checklists; and trained new members of the client team, along with continued support
Impact
- Converted ~10 quarterly reports to PowerPoint-based reports from scratch, covering historical performance, portfolio objectives, risk summary and other details
- Executed full migration in a single quarter, meeting aggressive timelines
- Used <10% onshore bandwidth in the migration
- Enabled 20% coverage expansion to onboard additional clients
- Gained client trust through consistent, transparent communication and enabled ease of operations onshore
